The Mount Gilead Police Department is a professional law enforcement agency that incorporates professionalism, community policing, and effective collaboration with surrounding state and local agencies. The Mount Gilead Police Department, in partnership with the community we serve, is dedicated to providing community policing, with the highest level of professionalism and transparency. The Mount Gilead Police Department will provide fair, courteous, and compassionate service to enhance the quality of life in Mount Gilead.

The Mount Gilead Department is comprised of seven sworn officers as well as a sworn reserve staff of eight. Our Officers are dedicated to creating a safer environment and providing quality service to the 1,180 plus citizens of Mount Gilead, the many visitors to our town, and the approximately 3.3 square miles of town we serve.
We continually assess what we do in order that we may always provide for our community's needs and expectations.
